Honestly, I cannot think of a better way to jump start the Illuminations blog than by honoring the legacy of Dorothy Height. A prime example of a Perfected Woman, Ms. Height worked diligently for the rights of women and African Americans for well over 40 years. Instead of listing her tremendous catalog of accomplishments, I’ve posted the Obama eulogy for those who may have missed like I did. Let’s attempt to become much like Dorothy Height in our service and train up the next generation of Black women to do the same.
